Elliot Chipman: That’s Deadpool
Narrative
Deadpool is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. The Deadpool & Wolverine team-up shares how they sidestepped the risky jokes, and Emma Corrin shares what it was like working with cool megastars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Hugh Jackman said he was truly done with the Wolverine character after Logan (2017). He later said he regretted that statement after watching the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters reunite on the big screen. When asked why he chose to return for this film, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it, and I felt it in my gut,” adding that he wanted to have the best time possible on a movie set with Ryan Reynolds. Similarly, Reynolds had wanted to work alongside Jackman since the first Deadpool film and was saddened when he (Jackman) retired from the role. As Wolverine and Deadpool make their odyssey in the Honda Odyssey, the clock in the car jumps forward three hours during their conversation. Kevin Chipman: That’s Wolverine.
Fox killed him

We waited so long for this moment, and it was beyond funny, wholesome, full of surprises, emotional and epic! Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy poured their hearts out to make this movie what it is.
And the jokes
It goes beyond the MCU timeline, it goes beyond even the FOX “X-Men” movies. It speaks to all the kids who grew up with these movies and these characters. Kids who are now adults, but still love every moment of this movie. You know it’s going to be fun with these two, but man… I laughed so hard even my stomach felt it. rest assured this isn’t Deadpool watered down in the MCU, this is Deadpool at his best. The inevitable bromance unfolded before our eyes. The story is fine, nothing special, but you feel it, and knowing the backstory on these characters and their respective universes makes everything emotional.
The opening scene is pure gold!
What about the cameos, I guess you ask? Well, we already know a few of them, but rest assured that there are many more and even the ones we already know are more than meets the eye. Emma Corrin as the villainous Cassandra Nova is such a great addition to the movie and the MCU as a whole. She is smart, strong, ruthless and also mocks our two protagonists. The action and visuals are beyond amazing. There are some really, really creative scenes, where the adamantium swords and claws create such chaos, which makes everything so bloody! The choice of music is excellent and fun, at times it might crack you up. I can’t praise the movie enough, but “Deadpool & Wolverine” is definitely in my top 5 movie experiences, and you can easily guess the others.
What more could you ask for?
The whole room was laughing, cheering and sobbing as one. Also, the movie has such a rewatchability factor, the length is perfect and be sure it will make tons of money! You certainly won’t be able to catch all the details on the first viewing, that’s for sure, but you will want to, so you will go back again and again… and again. And what about the credits scene, you might ask? I don’t really want to say more because I don’t want to spoil the possible direction of your thoughts. Just stay and watch it, even during the credits, there is something really beautiful.
